Harmon husband’s murder

To the Editors:

In case any of your interested readers haven’t heard, I am pleased to report that the Jan. 4 Washington Post ran a story (unaccountably placed in its “Style” section) on Joyce Horman, who recently spoke at Oberlin about the murder of her husband Charles in Chile in 1973.

The article stated that Rafael Gonzalez, identified as “a retired Chilean security official,” has been indicted in Horman’s slaying.

In an article published in the same newspaper in 1976, the current reporter states, “Gonzalez acknowledged being present when members of the Chilean intelligence service decided to kill Horman because ‘he knew too much.’”
