Support these three
To the Editors: I am writing in to voice my support for Charles Peterson, Daniel Gardener, and Eve Sandberg in the upcoming Oberlin City Council election. These three candidates are running together because they want to make things happen for the Oberlin community. As a voter and politics major, this means a lot to me. Sometimes in elections, even if the guy you vote for wins, he doesn’t accomplish anything. With Peterson, Gardener and Sandberg on the City Council, we will see real improvements in Oberlin, for everyone. Very important to all three candidates is the state of Oberlin’s Downtown. They wish to encourage new small businesses to open up, make it a thriving and interesting place. They want to bring the Farmer’s Market to Tappan Square, which would help local artisans and farmers immensely. Peterson, Gardener and Sandberg also wish to have housing vacated by students to make them accessible to families. They want to make sure the schools in the Oberlin community have what they need to give Oberlin children a great education. It is important to vote this Tuesday, November fourth, for Charles Peterson, Daniel Gardener, and Eve Sandberg for Oberlin City Council. They care about the issues. They care about the people. But most importantly, they have fresh new ideas and the knowledge to make them happen. –Jessica Jones |
