The Jake Wise Classic Quintet is a group of impeccable musicians inspired by the 1930's small jazz groups. With tones reminiscent of Benny Goodman's Quintet and Artie Shaw's Grammercy Five, this quintet is sure to keep us inspired and dancing.

Note: This group rarely makes public appearances and enjoys a great deal of secrecy, so we are not able to post a picture or sample track. Suffice it to say that you are in for a unique and fantastic musical treat.

The DJs

Glenn Crytzer
Head DJ
Cleveland, OH

Although new to Ohio, Glenn has been DJing for lindy hoppers for close to three years in the Florida-Georgia area. Being both a dancer and a musician, he brings a unique knowledge of music to the DJ table. He has been a guest DJ at various events including the Atlanta Varsity Showdown, Lindy Hop 411 Anniversary Party, Frankie Manning Cruise Kick-off, and the Great Lakes Swing Championship, and has organized several regional events in the Tallahassee area where he was a co-founder of the Florida State University Swing Dance Union. Glenn has a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

Jonathan Stout
Los Angeles, CA

Jonathan Stout has been playing guitar for 10 years, specializing in early acoustic and electric jazz guitar for the last three. He has studied guitar at the University of Southern California Studio/Jazz Guitar Program under Richard Smith, Frank Potenza, Pat Kelley and Steve Trovato. Currently a history major, Jonathan has worked on researching the history of Los Angeles jitterbugs during the 1930's and 1940's. He has been devoted to preserving traditional Los Angeles-style Lindy Hop, and Bal-Swing since learning to dance in 1997. Along with preserving traditional swing dancing, Jonathan has attempted to preserve early jazz guitar, especially Django Reinhardt, Charlie Christian, Allan Reuss, and others. Jonathan started the Campus Five after having great experiences sitting in with Jive Train, and playing with Josh Callazo and his Feetwarmers. Motivated by the great playing in both bands, but wanting to also play some of his favorite small group jems, his Campus Five was born. As both a premiere musician and excellent dancer, Jonathan brings an amazing array of expertise to his musical interpretation and historical knowledge, which contributes to his national acclaim as a DJ.
