Newman Catholic Campus Ministry, the Church's ministry to higher education on non-Catholic campuses, traces its mission to the vision of Cardinal John Henry Newman.

Cardinal Newman challenged the Church to be an active presence in the academic community. It was the Church's role, he believed, to help university students appreciate how the wisdom and resources of our faith tradition can enliven and integrate the college experience.

The spirit of Cardinal John Henry Newman remains alive in the work of Newman Catholic Campus Ministry at Oberlin College.
