The Amnesty International student group at Oberlin College always welcomes new members and we encourage all to get involved. Human rights activism can be a blast and is often very rewarding, especially when you hear concrete evidence that your work has made a difference -- when, for example, a prisoner of conscience for whose freedom you have appealed is released.
If you think you may have any interests in human rights issues; ranging from refugees, to conflict diamonds, to child soldiers, to the HIV/AIDS crisis, to torture, to the death penalty, and to many other issues, we strongly encourage you to check out Amnesty!
