Join the Band!
Everyone in the Oberlin College community is welcome to join the Marching Band. If you live in the greater Oberlin area, you must be invited into the OCMB since we are primarily an Oberlin College ensemble. Please attend the first few rehearsals of the semester. If you demonstrate that you are a good participant, you will be invited back to participate in the upcoming season.
What if I don't have any experience?
Don't fret. There are many members of the OCMB that are very experienced. They can teach you everything you need to know from how to march, to color guard, to even how to play an instrument!
What if I hated marching band in High School?
The OCMB is a vastly different experience from High School. We strive to have fun at what we do. Give us a shot - it can't hurt!
