Your Study Away
Planning ahead is
one of the most important components in having a successful
semester away from campus. The checklist below is intended
as a useful tool but not a required course of action.
Study Away
Planning Checklist
Attend
a study away information session offered in either fall or
spring semester.
Discuss
your interest in studying away for a semester
with your academic
advisor.
Enroll
in language courses in your area of interest.
Attend
a fall Study Away Fair.
Stop by
the Study Away Office (Peters 205) or visit the
Study Away website.
Make an
appointment to discuss your plans with your academic advisor
and/or with the Study Away Advisor in Peters 205.
Research
study away programs and choose one or two programs of interest.
Apply
to the study away program of your choice.
Apply
for an Academic Leave of Absence (application deadline: March
15 for fall, spring and full year academic leaves).
