Study Away Advisor Ellen Sayles, Associate Dean of Studies, is the Director of Programs for International Study and  Study Away advisor. In this role, she advises students on off-campus study options and on applying for Academic Leave of Absence, Enrolled-Not-in-Residence status, and Finish Away status. Ann Deppman, Assistant Director of Programs for International Study, coordinates international winter term projects and advises students interested in studying away. Oberlin College believes that all interested students, regardless of major, should have the opportunity to spend a semester away from campus on an academic program in a different part of the country or world. Study Away opportunities offered by Oberlin or affiliated with the college cover a wide range of geographic areas of the world, curricular or academic interests and program types. Over 300 Oberlin students each year participate in approved semester- or year-long study away programs.

In addition, Oberlin offers a variety of our own summer and winter term programs as well as the Danenberg Oberlin-in-London and Programa de Estudios Hispánicos en Córdoba (PRESHCO) programs.

Students interested in studying away for a semester or year can choose from Oberlin-sponsored programs, consortial programs, or over 85 affiliated programs. Information on these programs is available in the Study Away Library (Peters 205) or at this website under Choosing a Program.

Tuesday, Feb. 16 and Thursday Feb. 18 from
7:00-8:00 p.m. March 12 is the application deadline for Fall 2010.

Study Away Info Session

March 15, 2010
is the deadline to apply for an Acadmic Leave
for fall 2010, spring 2011, or the academic
year 2010-11.
