The GLBTF, a unit of the American Library Association's Social
Responsibilities Round Table, is the oldest gay/lesbian professional
organization in the United States. Since 1971, the GLBTF has presented
its book award for the best works of nonfiction and literature dealing
with gay, lesbian, and bisexual themes.
