PHASE
ONE - December 1999 through August 2001
A new
building housing the chemistry department and science library
was constructed.
A new
wing running north along Woodland Street from the west side
of Kettering Hall was constructed; it provided housing for new
labs and classrooms for the biology and neuroscience departments.
An
addition to Wright connected the existing physics building with
the new chemistry building.
PHASE TWO - July 2001 through February 2002
The
chemistry department and science library moved to their new
building, in the north section of the complex. Some biology
and neuroscience functions moved to their new facilities, constructed
between the north building and west wing of Kettering. Other
functions moved temporarily to the east wing of Kettering vacated
by chemistry and the library.
PHASE THREE March 2002 through September 2002
The
east wing of Kettering was demolished.
The
east facade of Kettering, the connection between Kettering and
Sperry, the remaining renovations in Wright, and the landscaping
were all completed. |
