High School Meet Information and Schedule 2010

 

 

            9:00am John W. Heisman Club Field House opens

            10:00am Field events begin

11:30am Running Events Start, we will be on a rolling time schedule

6:30pm Approximate end of meet (schedule will be adjusted based on number of entries)

   

 

How To Enter

 

*        All entries must be submitted online at www.oberlin.edu/runners by the deadline listed using the password that has been assigned.  Complete entries online at www.oberlin.edu/runners by the deadline listed if you do not have a password you may request from the website above. Be sure to follow all instructions.

 

*        We will NOT accept telephone or faxed entries.

 

*        There will be ABSOLUTLEY NO ENTRIES ACCPETED THE DAY OF THE MEET!

 

*        An athlete may not enter more than 4 individual events.

 

*        THERE IS NO ENTRY LIMIT PER TEAM.

 

*        We will attempt to accept all entries submitted by the deadline. However, meet management reserves the right to limit field sizes based upon the number of entries submitted.

 

*        Entry fees or proof of a requested payment from your high school must be RECEIVED by the deadline listed above. Full payment of entry fees must be made prior to the start of the meet.

 

*      A list of accepted entries and a revised time schedule will be posted at www.oberlin.edu/runners Saturday preceeding the meet.

 

*      The entry fee is calculated based on the number of entries submitted. If you scrtach someone after the deadline you will still be responsible for that entry.

 

*        Entry Deadlines for all meets the following:

*      There are no refunds for athletes who do not compete or who scratch after the entry deadline.

 

*        Entry fees or proof of a requested payment from your high school must be RECEIVED at Oberlin College by 7:00pm on Friday prior to the meet. If you make entries after 7:00pm on Friday please contact the mett director at jason.hudson@oberlin.edu to confirm payment.

 

*      Individual Events: $5 per person per event entered

 

*        Relay Events: $10 for each relay team entered

 

*        The maximum entry fee for a team is $150 per gender. Therefore, the maximum entry fee for a combined boys' and girls' team is $300.

10:00am Girls' Long Jump (West Pit), Boys' Long Jump (East Pit) (Triple Jump to follow if there are enough entries)

 

10:00am Boys ' Shot Put Followed by Girls' Shot Put

 

Athletes will be permitted 3 throws in the prelims and top 10 to the finals

 

10:00am Boys' Pole Vault Followed by Girls' Pole Vault

 

11:00pm Boys' High Jump Followed by Girls' High Jump

 

 

Running Events Begin 11:30 AM (Girls Followed by Boys)

55m H Prelims (Top 12 times to finals there will be a two section final)

55m Dash Prelims (Top 12 times to finals there will be a two section final)

4x800m Relay

Weights and Measures

 

* Please advise your athletes that they must have their implements

  inspected one hour prior to the event's start. Weights and measures

  will close 30 minutes prior to the event.

 

 

  Spikes

 

* Athletes in the high jump MUST wear flats - spikes are not

  permitted in the high jump. Pyramid spikes NOT longer than 1/8" must

  be worn on the track for ALL events, including the long jump, and

  pole vault. We will check the spike length of all contestants prior

  to escorting them onto the facility.
