Traditional Housing: Talcott

Talcott

One of the oldest buildings on campus, Talcott was built in 1886. But don't worry about the condition of the hall, it's been renovated! The atmosphere here is very homey since the TV, piano, study area and lounge are all located on the first floor while residents live on the second and third floors. The second floor is one of four areas across campus that have all-gender rooms. Students of any gender, upon request, can live together in these rooms. Additionally, Talcott is a Second-Year and above hall so no First-Years live there.

Nearly 80 residents are looked after by two Resident Assistants (RAs) who provide a variety of programs, occasionally geared towards Second-Year and above issues like career or graduate school searches. Located near the center of campus, Talcott is just across the street from the Conservatory on one side and a short walking distance from Dascomb Dining Hall on the other.

Also on the first floor of Talcott is the Kosher-Halal Co-Op which observes Jewish and Islamic dietary needs. One of the smaller Co-ops, students in Kosher-Halal frequently converse with Talcott residents about a variety of issues.
