Traditional Housing: Fairchild

Fairchild

Fairchild House is one of the smaller traditional halls. Rooms consisting of mostly open doubles, a spacious lounge on the first floor and a relaxing deck create a friendly atmosphere and flourishing community. Fairchild is conveniently located just across the street from the Conservatory and the Center for Environmental Studies and is equally spaced between the Dascomb Dining Hall and the Lord-Saunders Dining Hall & Afrikan Heritage House.

Two Resident Assistants (RAs) supervise roughly 70 students and create fun programs that take advantage of the lounge's piano, TV and gracious space! Located in the basement of Fairchild are the Brown Bag and Fairchild Co-ops. When the Co-ops hold big programs, the large basement easily holds their guests and all the Fairchild residents who wander down the stairs to see what's going on.
