East
One of the larger halls on campus, East has the second most number of singles of all halls and is home to approximately 180 residents. With so many singles, a Quiet Floor and lounges scattered throughout, the building has a quieter, more private atmosphere that belies its large occupancy. The entirety of East 3rd floor is currently the home of the Quiet Floor, a community of students wishing to live and study in a peaceful environment. Respect for neighbors' rights is a key aspect of this floor and any student wishing to reside on East's Quiet Floor should fill out an application. East is one of only four halls across campus that have an all-gender wing. For East, this wing is located on the first floor and roommates of any gender, upon requesting each other, can live together in the same room and try a living experience many colleges don't offer.
