*You must attend a session to complete your eligibility
  • Each student applying for village/apartment style housing must have a semesters in residence of 4 or above for Fall 2009.
  • Village/Apartment Housing Group Applications are available on line as a download beginning February 13, 2009 (see below). A separate application is not required if your request is for a single studio in Village Housing.
  • All students who enter the village housing lottery must attend one of the mandatory Village Orientation Sessions.
  • Village groups can be any size from 2 to 12 students, but the group must choose housing that fits the number of students in the group. For example a group of five students can select a house/apartment with a 3-person capacity and a house/apartment with a capacity of 2 but not two apartments with a capacity of 6.
  • All groups will be ranked by group-priority values (the sum of the semesters in residency numbers divided by the number of group members) assigned to each application for determining selection priority only. To differentiate between group applications with the same group-priority value, the group members' random numbers will be averaged.
  • Appointment times will be listed outside Stevenson-Griswold and on our website on March 5, 2009 and Selection is March 7, 2009.
  • All group members will have the same appointment time. However, any member(s) of the group or a designated proxy may keep the appointment and select the housing for the group.
  • Appointments must be kept by the representatives or their proxy or priority will be forfeited.
  • Group representatives should be prepared to represent the group in a variety of circumstances; they should be aware of the feelings of their group members concerning roommate pairing and housing preferences.
  • Students who are on the wait-list for Village Housing or who anticipate living in Village Housing over the course of the 2009-2010 academic year may choose to register for any one of the scheduled sessions to maintain eligibility for Village Housing.
