Maison Francaphone
Bailey, also called French House, is a small building on north campus just across the street from Stevenson Dining Hall (which sets aside a private room for practitioners). On the other side of the house is the North Quad and Science Center. One Faculty-in-Residence, two French Teaching Assistants (TAs) and one Resident Assistant (RA) live in the house and provide residents with close ties to the Department of French and Italian.
Around 35 students enjoy programs that include French films, social activities and a French breakfast every other Sunday. A library with program related resources is located inside along with a TV lounge equipped with French language stations. Like all the language-based program houses, students should have some French speaking ability, anywhere from beginner to fluent. Remember to fill out an application!
