DESCRIPTION

The frequencies of the torsional and vertical translational modes of the mass on the spring can be adjusted, by varying the mass, to have an integer ratio.  Then the oscillator cycles through the two modes.

 

NOTES 

Coupling between the two modes works best with m = 6 g.
