Stretch out tubing with one end

to the wall. Pluck or chop the tubing to generate a pulse that
travels
along the tubing and reflects at the wall.

Hook
one end of rope to a piece of unistrut embedded in the south wall.
Make sure ends are clamped
securely
so lead shot doesn't end up on the floor.
