RUBBER BAND MOTOR

APPARATUS
wheel with rubber band spokes 202-11-A
375 W Photo-BFA heat lamp 101-16-C
lab jack 202-01-C
putty 202-02-A

DESCRIPTION
Shine heat lamp on rubber bands on part of wheel in front of reflector.  Heated rubber bands will contract, shifting the center of mass of the wheel and causing it to turn.  This brings new cooler rubber bands near the heat source and the cycle continues.

NOTES

Carefully balance the wheel by sticking pieces of putty on the rim.
