This demonstrates cooling by
evaporation. The sealed flask is half-filled with water.
Place
crushed dry ice and alcohol in the depression on top of the bulb and
the water vapor pressure inside will drop as water condenses out.
Evaporative cooling will cause the water surface to freeze over.
