DESCRIPTION
An aluminum box is painted flat
black on the
outside. With the lid on the box, the hole appears blacker than
the
paint, demonstrating that a cavity approximates an ideal black
body.
The light emitted from the hole depends only on the temperature, not on
the nature of the walls. Remove the lid to show that the box is
shiny
inside.
