Set cart in motion.  When it reaches the triggering mechanism, the ball is launched vertically, reaches a height of about 0.5 m, and drops back into the moving cart.   This also works nicely on an inclined track.

For contrast, launch the ball from a cart pulled by a weight hanging over a pulley.

Use the adjustment screws to align the barrel.

The flashing LED indicates that the launcher is turned on.

There is also an attachment for dropping the ball from above the cart.

Catch the cart before it crashes into the end of the track.

Attach the wireless camera to the launcher to show the cart's-eye view.

We have an older version for the air track, but this one is more reliable.
