DESCRIPTION

Invert evacuated tube containing coin and feather to show that the two objects fall at the same rate in the absence of air resistance.  Open valve to admit air and invert tube to show that the coin reaches the bottom first.

NOTES

 

Use vacuum pump to evacuate tube prior to class.
