DESCRIPTION

Demonstrate the effect of RC and LR low- and high-pass filters on the sinusoidal signal from an audio generator and on the music played on a tape deck.  The output is displayed on the oscilloscope and sent to an amplifier and speaker.

 

The switch allows one to send either the input or filtered output to the speaker.  Both are displayed on the scope.

 

NOTES

Use the audio transformer with the function generator.  Use a second amplifier on the input side with the tape player.

Start with the resistance set to 1000 ohms.
