This summer the Oberlin Summer Theater Festival will once again be offering the Acting Shakespeare Intensive, formerly known as the Shakespeare Day Camp, for area high school students, grades 9 - 12. The camp will run from July 29th through August 2nd.
Camp activities will focus on performance skills—including the Basics of Truthful Acting, Handling Shakespearean Text, Voice, Movement, and Combat—all culminating in a Scene Study from the world of "Twelfth Night." The camp will be led by the accomplished Heather Anderson Boll, Visiting Assistant Professor of Theater at Oberlin College, along with other members of the OSTF company.
There is an $100 fee to enroll in the camp. Need-based scholarships are available for those who qualify.
