Education
OSTF encourages teachers and students to engage with the plays from our season before, during, and after we bring them to life on stage. Our staff have compiled study guides that provide useful background, especially for younger students. This season we're also very pleased to offer a one week Shakespeare day camp for area high schoolers.
OSTF welcomes classes and school groups of all sizes - please contact us to reserve group tickets for any of our performaces.
This summer the Oberlin Summer Theater Festival will launch a new Shakespeare Day Camp for area high school students, grades 9 - 12. The camp will run from Tuesday, July 27th thru Friday, July 30th, 1 – 4pm daily.
Camp activities will focus on performance skills, including Fundamentals of Acting, Handling Shakespearean Text, Voice, Movement, and Combat. Supervising the camp will be Heather Anderson Boll, Visiting Assistant Professor of Theater at Oberlin College and an accomplished Equity actress. She will be assisted by other OSTF company members throughout the week.
There is an $80 fee to enroll in the camp. Need-based scholarships are available for those who qualify.
