The Observer (ISSN 0193-368X) The Observer was a publication of the Oberlin College Office of College Relations during the academic years 1979-80 through 1997-98. It was published for Oberlin College faculty and staff, and the paper version was distributed to all employees on campus and to trustees and friends of the College. Observer Index The Observer Index is a searchable index of articles and features that appeared in the Observer. It contains references to items from Volume 1, Number 1 through the last issue of Volume 18, Number 17, and indicates in which issue and on what page the item appeared. Online Issues Some issues of the Observer are available on line. Numbers 16, 17, and 18 of Volume 16 are posted as HTML documents. No special software is necessary to read them. Volumes 17, 18, and 19 of the Observer are available as Acrobat (PDF) files. These issues can be read only if the Acrobat Reader is installed on your computer. Off-Line Issues Paper versions of all the issues of the Observer are collected in bound volumes available in the Oberlin College Main Library, the library's Special Collections, and the Oberlin College Archives.
