Dennison Smith

Teaching Interests: Human Neurobiology, Neuropharmacology, Neurophysiology, Introductory Neuroscience, Neurobiology of Learning and Memory.

Research Interests: Neuropharmacology of synaptic plasticity, learning and memory.
Smith's lab is currently conducting two research programs. One of projects studies the Neuropharmacology of cannabinoid and capsaicin compounds focusing and their effects on learning and memory and long-term potentiation. The other project looks at the neuroprotective effects of exercise on an animal model of Parkinson's disease.
