Parents Statement
We ask parents to complete this form and give us information and suggestions that will help us understand their son or daughter. This information is kept confidential and may be shared with your child and/or a select group of staff members at the College only as needed.

Housing and Dining
This section contains information to help you complete the online Housing and Dining Application. This application, found on the Residential Education and Dining Services web site, allows you to select the type of housing that interests you and to indicate personal preferences that help us match you with a roommate. Additional forms required for the quiet floor, substance-free area, and program houses are also located on the department’s web site. If you do not have access to the online documents, contact the department and request paper copies of the forms you need. In addition, the I.D. card photo request, the co-op application (if you wish to live in a co-op), and the Obie Dollars enrollment form (if you wish to have Obie Dollars encoded on your I.D. card) must be completed and received by June 10.

Services for Students with Disabilities
This section summarizes the services Oberlin provides for students with disabilities and the documentation that students with disabilities must provide.

Social Justice Institute
The Oberlin College Dialogue Center, under the auspices of the Office of the Ombudsperson, will sponsor a two-day Social Justice Institute during fall break, on Sunday, October 18, and Monday, October 19. The goal of the institute is to create a cohesive bond among the participants and to integrate them into the Oberlin College community by exploring multicultural issues at Oberlin and in the larger society.

Day of Service
On Saturday, August 29, 2009, the Bonner Center for Service and Learning will sponsor a Day of Service, which enables students to volunteer at partner agencies within 30 miles of Oberlin. The Day of Service provides an opportunity for students to broaden their perspective, discover ways to apply their education, and assist community partner organizations.
