Housing and Dining
This section contains information to help you complete the online Housing and Dining Application. This application, found on the Residential Education and Dining Services web site, allows you to select the type of housing that interests you and to indicate personal preferences that help us match you with a roommate. Additional forms required for the quiet floor, substance-free area, and program houses are also located on the department’s web site. If you do not have access to the online documents, contact the department and request paper copies of the forms you need. In addition, the I.D. card photo request, the co-op application (if you wish to live in a co-op), and the Obie Dollars enrollment form (if you wish to have Obie Dollars encoded on your I.D. card) must be completed and received by June 13.

Religious Preference
Oberlin College facilitates a considerable variety of opportunities that allow students to explore religious traditions and participate in spiritual life. The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life uses the information on this Religious Preference Survey in developing religious life programs for the campus. If you wish, the office will also use the information to put you in contact with churches in the city of Oberlin.

Social Justice Institute
The Oberlin College Dialogue Center, under the auspices of the Office of the Ombudsperson, will sponsor a two-day Social Justice Institute on Labor Day weekend August 31 and September 1, 2008. The goal of the institute is to create a cohesive bond among the participants and to integrate them into the Oberlin College community by exploring multicultural issues at Oberlin and in the larger society.

Day of Service
On Saturday, August 30, 2008, the Bonner Center for Service and Learning will sponsor a Day of Service, which enables students to volunteer at partner agencies within 30 miles of Oberlin.
