Distinguished Scholar of African American History Delivers Keynote Address (January 31, 2003)
JANUARY 31, 2003--Distinguished scholar John H. Bracey, Jr., will present the Black History Month keynote address next Thursday at 8 p.m. in the College Science Center’s West Lecture Hall. A reception will follow.

Oberlin Town and Gown Celebrate Black History Month 2003. (January 28, 2003)
JANUARY 28, 2003--"The Souls of Black Folk: 100th Anniversary" is the theme of Black History Month 2003 at Oberlin College--part of a nationwide celebration marking the publication centennial of the book by W.E.B. DuBois, the writer, civil rights activist, scholar, and editor, and a significant intellectual in American history.

Oberlin College Students to Present City of Angels February 6, 7, 8. (January 24, 2003)
JANUARY 24, 2003--A student production of the Tony-award winning musical City of Angels will be presented February 6, 7, and 8, Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Oberlin College's Wilder Hall under the direction of Lev Rosen ’03.

Role of Oberlin's Religious Roots in 1858 Rescue of Fugitive Slave is Focus of New Book. (January 10, 2003)
JANUARY 10, 2003--"The often disregarded but important role of Oberlin’s religious roots" in one of the pivotal events in U.S. history is delineated in a book just released by the Oberlin College Archives.
