PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE TO SPEAK AT OBERLIN

FEBRUARY 04, 2004Democratic presidential candidate and Ohio
Congressman Dennis Kucinich will deliver a major policy address at Oberlin College on Wednesday, Feb. 11th at 7:15 pm in Finney Chapel, located near Tappan Square at the intersection of Lorain and Professor streets.

The talk is free and open to the public.

A native of Cleveland and a representative from Ohio's 10th congvressional district, Kucinich first came to national prominence in 1977, when he was elected mayor of Cleveland, at age 31 the youngest mayor ever to lead a major American city.

Elected to Congress in 1996, Kucinich is the chair of the CongressionalProgressive Caucus. Currently, he is running for president in the Democratic primaries.

The talk is sponsored by the Oberlin College Democrats, the Oberlin Peace Activist League, and the Lorain County for Kucinich Committee.
