THE RIVERSIDE COMPANY PARTNER STEWART KOHL NAMED OBERLIN COLLEGE TRUSTEE
SEPTEMBER 5, 2003—Oberlin College alumnus Stewart A. Kohl, managing general partner of The Riverside Company, has been appointed to the College’s Board of Trustees.
The Riverside Company, with offices in Cleveland, New York, Dallas, and San Francisco, and with a presence in Europe, is one of the leading private equity firms investing in industry-leading companies.
Kohl earned a bachelor of arts degree at Oberlin in 1977 with a double major in government and economics. Before joining Riverside in 1993, he was a vice president at Citicorp Venture Capital, where he served for five years. Previously, he was chief operating officer of the National Cooperative Business Association in Washington, D.C.
