The New York Times Op-ed Columnist Frank Rich Opens Convocation Series
A fixture at The New York Times since 1980, op-ed columnist
and former theater critic Frank Rich will open Oberlin's 2005-2006
convocation series. The Times resident pundit on the convergence
of American politics and popular culture, Rich will open the annual
series on Tuesday, September 6, with an address titled "On Art,
Culture & Politics:
An Evening with Frank Rich." Also taking part in this year's convocation
series will be Marjane Satrapi, author of Persepolis and Persepolis
2; the Soweto Gospel Choir; and Samantha Power, author of A
