The Construction of the Adam J. Lewis Center for Environmental Studies,
May 4, 1999

Photographs by Holly Matyas
Text by Linda Grashoff based on information from Leo Evans

Nucor Steel donated the structural steel columns and beams. Metal studs now define the corridor walls.

Clerestory windows will be set in the gaps between the corridor ceiling and the tops of the studded wall area. We're looking toward the future classrooms and Resource Center.

From the second-floor classroom, this is the view looking across the corridor toward the offices.

The steel studs--which are recyclable--define the west mechanical room.
