McGregor-Oresman Scholar Program

The McGregor-Oresman Fund promotes close intellectual collaboration between faculty and students with $75,000 received in a grant from the McGregor Fund, matched by Donald Oresman '46. This summer, also thanks to the fund, 10 pairs of students and faculty worked together on research projects (see "Students and Faculty Team Up for Summer Research" in the 718K Acrobat (PDF) file of the Observer of May 22, 1998). Twelve members of the Oberlin faculty received support from the program during its first year (see "12 Faculty Members Receive Support from McGregor-Oresman Scholar Program for Student Researchers and Teaching Assistants" in the 320K Acrobat (PDF) file of the Observer of May 23, 1997).
