Suzanne Gay, associate professor and chair of the East Asian Studies Program, recently gave a lecture at Sophia University. Gay's presentation was titled "Prestige and Opportunity: Commoners' Lives in Late Medieval Kyoto." John Scofield, associate professor and chair of the department of physics and astronomy, recently participated in the summer meeting of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Scofield delivered a lecture, "Early Energy Performance of a Green Academic Building," during a symposium titled "Commissioning Begins with Design Intent." The accompanying paper has been accepted for publication in ASHRAE Transactions. |
