Course Description:
The primary aim of this course, in compliance with the Music Education Division mission statement, is to prepare students for the art of teaching music by developing students' musicianship, pedagogy, and scholarship. Primarily for music education majors with instrumental emphasis. Designed to emphasize the continued development and refinement of baton and rehearsal technique, score preparation, and interpretation through an in depth study of band repertoire. Prerequisite: Instrumental Music Programs 304 and Instrumental Conducting 261.
