Baldwin

Baldwin Cottage is the home of the Women's Collective, a close-knit community. The members of the Collective work to create a safe space for discussion and support of feminist and women's issues. Built in 1889, Baldwin is one of the loveliest residence halls on campus, with spacious rooms, high ceilings, and large windows. It also has a piano lounge, several large open lounges, and many nooks and corners perfect for reading, studying and conversing. The Women's Collective is affiliated with the Women's Studies Program. Programming has included the Women's Coffeehouse, featuring poetry readings and dance and vocal performances by women; a lecture series on feminist topics; art shows featuring works by women; and support groups. The Women's Collective is open to women of all races, nationalities, religions, and sexual orientations.
