Residents of this hall share a common interest in Asian and Asian-American culture. Programming - including lectures, films, special dinners, performances of Asian music and dance, and other cultural events - often complements the academic offerings of the East Asian Studies department. Built around an open courtyard, the structure has a quiet sense of privacy even though it is conveniently located on campus. The beauty of the interior is enhanced by Shipherd Lounge and a large wood-paneled library. Residents may apply to dine in the Pyle Inn co-op, which is located in the building.
