I am a second-year student from upstate New York. I live in Asia House and I intend to double major in Philosophy and Neuroscience. My strong ties to my Somali background and upbringing account for my natural love of soccer, food, and poetry. In my spare time, I like to play for my intramural soccer team The Miami Heat.

I am Shannon, a politics major from Hamilton, New Zealand. I am a
passionate liberal activist, and my specific areas of interest include
fair trade/alter-globalisation, gender equity and civil liberties. I
believe that working for the MRC contributes to the great causes it
promotes on campus. Besides activism, my passions include smoothies,
dark chocolate and folk music! |

I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico and I'm working on a Psychology major. As a senior, I have no idea what I'm doing next year, but I'll figure it out as the year goes on. This is my first year working for the MRC, and I love it! My interests include, but aren't limited to: nature
documentaries, Billboard-type music, New Mexico, being a nerd, and rats.

Rebekah Steadwell - MRC Student Associate
I was born and raised in Washington D.C. I am a third year at
Oberlin. I am working on an African American Studies Major and
with a concentration in visual arts. I am editor of In Solidarity (Oberlin's paper for people of color), I love to sing and I believe that someday, GoGo music will blow up. This is my second year working for the MRC and I've had so much fun working with all these amazing folks!
