We are currently focused on the adaptation of the Trans Ally 101 Training for faculty and the development of a Trans Ally 201 Training. This new trainings will build upon the success of the Trans Ally 101 Training over the last three years with the goal of examining in greater
detail the intersections of gender identity and expression with other identity categories, especially race, class, and sexuality. In the spring of 2007, we piloted several Trans Ally 201 Trainings for students using the Sylvia Rivera Law Project’s documentary Toilet Training. The Trans Ally 201 Trainings were available in the fall of 2007 with several dozen participants from multiple offices and student groups on campus participating in sessions. If you are interested in more information, scheduling a Trans Ally 201 Training, or helping with the further development of the Trans Ally 201 Training please contact the MRC.
