The Multicultural Resource Center (MRC) is currently undertaking a number of new initiatives around supporting both historically underrepresented student communities as well as educating existing allies and identifying and educating new allies. Among these initiatives is the development of a range of workshop and training materials that can be used to educate both within and between communities. Resources will include academic readings, recommended activities and exercises, and template/adaptable workshops. Our hope is that these resources will help faculty, staff, students and community members identify resources for workshops and trainings that can be facilitated by the MRC staff or others. These important resources will start to become available during the fall of 2007. Please be on the look out for future announcements. Until then, please take a look and our resource pamphlet titled “Privilege, Allyship, and Safe Space” and feel free to contact the MRC for additional support.
