ABOUT PEER EDUCATION AT OBERLIN COLLEGE
There are many student
organizations at
Oberlin College that function with a mission of
educating peers. Students are often the best teachers
when it comes to public health education and life
skills education. In our office, as time and resources
allow, we support students who want to create health
education efforts mirroring this belief. Sometimes
we have paid positions, sometimes we sponsor private
readings, and sometimes we collaborate as part
of a bigger effort. Ultimately, students learn
best from other students and we want to encourage
students to follow their instincts and provide
information in a manner that is uniquely “Oberlin”.
