WWII Posters: Conservation

There were great efforts to emphasize the importance of conservation through many of the war posters. Many posters have messages ranging from urging car pooling, the importance of saving cooking oil, to encouraging citizens to use rations. The posters emphasize the power of the individual so every citizen felt a personal obligation to contribute to the war efforts. As shown below, the government also uses anti-Nazi propaganda to urge people to conserve. At this time the government also distributed posters about ceiling prices and the black market as to discourage any illegal activity that would undermine any type of conservation efforts.
