If you are searching on a topic, using natural language keywords (as opposed to Chemical Abstracts nomenclature for chemical substances), consider using Science Citation Index (ISI Web of Knowledge/Web of Science). SCI as no practical limit on the number of simultaneous users, and indexes thousands of chemical journals.
