The current periodical area offers seating for 44 at large reading tables, plus 8 lounge chairs and 8 large window seats. Data and electrical outlets are available at each table and along the window seat wall.

| The Library Instruction Room has 15 iMacs, with seating for 30. It is available for classes and individual work whenever the library is open. Contact the science librarian to reserve the room for group use. |

The new books area is immediately adjacent to the front entrance, with a view of the Commons area to the south and plenty of natural light. |
