Study Carrels

There are 30 carrels in the science library that can be reserved each semester. We assign two students to each carrel, depending upon demand. All students are welcome to apply for a carrel in the science library; declared science majors will be given first consideration, on a seniority basis. See Carrel Regulations for more information.

Study carrels are all numbered.  Walk around the library and find one or two that suit you, so you can request them specifically on the carrel application form.

Spring semester carrel assignments will be made on Feb. 10

Paper copies of the application form are at the Science Library circulation desk.
We will email your carrel assignment to you. Any unassigned carrels after Feb. 10 will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

You are responsible for clearing your carrel at the end of each semester. A cleaning fee may be assessed if you leave trash or food waste in your carrel at any time during the year.

Science majors may request renewal of assigned fall semester carrels for Winter Term and Spring semester, if desired.
Email the science library
to make your request.
