Video Policy
Videos owned by Oberlin College library circulate to faculty, staff, and students for 2 days.
In order to ensure that a video is available to be shown in class or to be viewed by students outside of class, videos should be placed on reserve.
All videos, including those that are placed on reserve, are in closed stacks and must be requested at the circulation desk. The professor who requests a video for reserve may check it out for as long as needed. Reserve staff will resolve conflicts in cases when more than one class is using the same video.
Ordering a Video for Reserve
All requests to purchase videos should be placed with the reserve supervisor or via the video order form. Please indicate the date you want to show the video on the order form. Note: it takes approximately 79 weeks to order a video and have it ready for circulation.
If you have any questions please contact the reserve supervisor.
