New Orders for Reserve
The Main Reserve department recommends placing requests for library purchases as early as possible. This can be done independently of the process of submitting lists of materials to be placed on reserve. In general it takes 4-6 weeks to get new books and 7-9 weeks to get new videos/DVDs. In addition to the normal length of time for ordering we can run into difficulties with items being backordered and out of print/stock - the more in advance you have made the order the more likely that despite these problems we can get you the item you want.
In order to best facilitate orders and follow-up about orders the Main Reserve department has established the following deadlines and services. Orders made after the deadlines will still receive priority and follow-up, but it is recommend you check at least two weeks before the item is needed and contact reserve for follow-up if necessary.
