Missed Deadline
We realize that class preparation is an on-going task which may necessitate adding new materials as the semester progresses. We are committed to working with you to ensure your class has adequate access, but be aware that submissions received in the weeks immediately following the regular reserve deadline may take up to four weeks to be fully processed.
Submissions received by the posted deadlines receive more immediate attention and are ready for the first day of classes. If you have any questions, please contact Michael Palazzolo.
Faculty/Instructor Responsibilities
- Supply complete information for each item on your reserve list, including Oberlin call numbers as well as author/director, title, edition (if a specific one is necessary), and publisher.
- Provide photocopies for both print reserve and ERes, with a full citation visible on the first page of each and the author/title information completed on the ERes form. For print reserve, indicate the number of copies if more than one is needed.
- Refer to Copyright Policy for Library Reserves for your copyright responsibilities.
Main Reserve Room Services Offered
- Process submission(s) on a first come, first served basis.
- Process print/video reserve items by putting available copies on shelf or making proper follow-up if an item not immediately available.
- Send confirmation that the courses are ready so you can check it on OBIS.
- Process ERes items and send confirmation that course is ready with the password so you can check it.
Rush requests made because a submission was turned in past the deadline will only be considered after the 1st week of classes and will be given lower priority.
